ALSA
is an association comprising all 28 Law Student
Societies nationally and represents approximately 20,000
law students throughout Australia. The core functions of
ALSA are:
-
To represent
and promote the interests and concerns of Australian
law students;
-
To gather and
disseminate information of interest and concern to
Australian law students;
-
To promote and
facilitate communication and the exchange of
information between law student societies,
particularly within Australia; and
-
To promote and
facilitate interaction and activities of a social,
intellectual and competitive nature among law students
generally.
In achieving
these objectives, ALSA has set out in 2002 to ensure
that law students have a representative voice during the
review of the Higher Education sector.
ALSA is
committed to law students, providing valuable resources
such as the Law Student’s Directory, alternative careers
guides and other information on matters relating to law
degrees, such as information on the legal profession,
legal education, undergraduate course information,
exchanges and current
affairs. |
